Saturday was the first time I'd been to a lion dance in Makawao. Their demonstration area was small with the main part of their audience situated on the sidewalk across the street. The big problem with that was as traffic rolled by, the vehicles would block the lion dancers and we wound up missing entire segments of the demonstration. Ah, well, at least the weather was nice!
